In the following article. I will comment on the study, carried out by Phoenix University on the future skills needed to work in 2020. The article called “Ten Skills for the future workforce” tells us about Social Intelligence as one of the skills needed for future professionals.

The researchers have tried to obtain Social and Emotional aspects in robots by means of different prototypes. Fortunately, the outcome remains limited. Feelings and Emotions are even more complex than decision-making. Social Intelligent professionals are able to assess and adapt emotions around them in a fast and flexible. It’s a matter of survival for the companies of next generations.

The boundary between humans and machines will remain distant. Therefore, it is very important that companies consider recruiting, training and developing using this core competence in the near future.

It is the responsibility of the professionals to develop Social Intelligence within their companies in order to increase their value. For this reason, companies should be creating shared knowledge platforms and professionals should be taking care of their network.
